Leader in the distribution of plastic raw materials thanks to its long-standing collaboration with the main international producers, Interpolimeri has been distributing raw materials for the whole European market for over 30 years, with an extensive range of products for the main applications of the industry. Interpolimeri is participating in Expoquimia as a Global Partner and we interviewed Albert Carrasco Fons, General Manager and Board Member of the company.
With your background and business experience, would you say the chemical industry has changed much in recent years?
Indeed it has, although we must not forget that it is an industrial sector, and not all companies can afford to commit to major investments, but it has evolved a great deal in terms of technology, in processes, computerisation, continuous training, continuous improvement; today it is a much more professionalised industry, given the needs of today’s market.
We are living through uncertain times… In this regard, how is your company experiencing the current moment?
The secret of every company today is to be constantly adapting. In a few years we have had the Covid-19 epidemic, a worldwide crisis, with global ramifications, and a war in Europe. We know our industry, customers and suppliers and we know their needs, which is why we adapt fast, taking decisions quickly is vital to be able to act rapidly with the uncertainties we are currently facing.
What do you expect of the next edition of Expoquimia?
Once again at Expoquimia we can get back in touch with people, which is very important in this new digital era that is bringing us so much but at the same time restricts us. It’s important to look after personal relationships with customers, suppliers, contacts, and friends. And in turn to stay abreast of everything that is happening in our industry as told by its great professionals. It’s always a plus to be able to participate in this type of event.
What novelties does Interpolimeri expect to present in Expoquimia 2023?
New products in our portfolio, a new sales and technical team, new developments in view of the current situation in our industry, the growth of the group in Europe and future investments.
